Allowed Inbound on Amazon Instance

Simple but important tips on your Amazon Instance. So You have deployed your Amazon Instance, checked. The Instance is running and when You try to RDP – Failed. You are confused and wondering why.

Probably the answer is simple. You haven’t allowed RDP Port on your instance. Really simple, Go to your Network and Security Settings on your instance. Chose the EC2 Security Groups You are using for your instance. Click Inbound Tab and add the new rule for your instance.

Port 3389 on this occasion for RDP

Add other ports You might need for your instance 80 for HTTP, 443 for HTTPS, 3306 for MySQL, etc.
